Shining Star is an employee recognition program that gives employees an opportunity to be acknowledged for safety, leadership, a job well done, etc. with a simple thank you from their peers, supervisors, managers, customers, etc. 

Below are areas where employees can potentially receive recognition: 

SAFETY

• Employee observed following safe work procedures, i.e., following lock out tag out procedure, wearing respiratory protection/safety glasses as required, etc. 

• Employee demonstrates his/her commitment to safety by completing JSA/BBS observation cards.
• Employee makes the effort to make quality + and/or - comments regularly on the BBS observation card.
• Employee observed demonstrating a good attitude and promoting safety with his/her peers.
• Employee actively participates in safety meetings.

SERVICE

• Employee demonstrates he/she is adaptable, able to get along with co-workers, and respects differences in opinion.
• Employee improves the quality of or delivery of a service product.
• Employee responds to customer requirements in an exemplary, timely, and courteous manner.
• Employee solves customer problems/concerns quickly and innovatively
• Employee develops new ways of doing business that benefits customers.

LEADERSHIP

• Employee demonstrates outstanding work ethics and attitude.
• Employee focuses on the goals of the project even when encountering distracting situations.
• Employee exhibits selflessness, unwavering commitment, steadfast in the face of adversity, or similar qualities.
• Employee shows fairness and equity in the performance of his/her duties.

TEAMWORK

• Employee demonstrates a willingness to step in and help others without hesitation.
• Employee creates a positive and motivating work environment.
• Employee displays a positive attitude and encourages involvement.
• Employee uses initiative and creativity to solve a priority assignment.

WORKFORCE EXCELLENCE

• Employee exhibits unselfish devotion to duty above and beyond job requirements.
• Employee exemplifies the high standards of the Reagan Family of Companies.
• Employee significantly exceeds goals while performing a priority assignment.
